Cilada 3D

Run. Spin. Smash. And don’t trust the ground.

3D prank platformer

Get it now

Premise

A 3D prank platformer starring Fagulha, the ember spirit: eight levels where the trap lies about the scenery, never about the controls. It is already in the stores and, on a computer, it runs right in the browser.

You guide Fagulha through eight levels, from the island to the Ember Park. Each level changes the scenery, the set of traps in play and what it teaches before it lies. Walking, jumping and spinning is easy; the hard part is learning what each piece of the kit is lying about.

Highlights

01

The ground lies

The trap lies about the scenery, never about the controls: Fagulha always answers the same way, and only the world cheats.

02

A kit of seven traps

False floor, traitor tile, lying warning, cowardly edge, support crate, runaway ember and Grudge, a level that remembers where you have been.

03

Ten moves

Run, jump, spin, ground pound, dive, triple jump, long jump, backflip, wall jump and ledge grab.

04

Eight levels, eight worlds

From the First Wrong Step to the Ember Park, through a bridge, a lighthouse, a swamp, gears, a tide and an observatory. Each level has its own palette, scenery and lesson.

05

The Three Flames

Each level has three optional challenges, and the scoreboard even gives you a title, from Untouched to Cilada Regular.

06

Critters that don’t play fair

Among them the Crawler, the Vulture, the Snowman and the Seal: each has its own way of getting in your way.

Mechanics

The trap kit

  • False floor: gives way the moment you step on it.
  • Traitor tile: holds on the first pass and gives way when you come back.
  • Lying warning: promises spikes and never spits anything.
  • Cowardly edge: the target platform backs away a step before you get there.
  • Support crate: the crate you break for an ember was holding up the floor under it.
  • Runaway ember: runs from you and leads where the level wanted.
  • Grudge: the level remembers where you went and moves the trap.

Fagulha’s moveset

  • Run, jump and spin, the base of everything.
  • Ground pound and dive, to break what is below and speed up the fall.
  • Triple jump, long jump and backflip.
  • Wall jump and ledge grab, the last chance before the fall.

The eight levels

  • 1. Primeiro Passo em Falso (First Wrong Step).
  • 2. A Ponte Range (The Creaking Bridge).
  • 3. O Farol Adormecido (The Sleeping Lighthouse).
  • 4. O Brejo que Engole (The Swamp That Swallows).
  • 5. A Engrenagem Cega (The Blind Gear).
  • 6. A Maré que Apaga (The Tide That Puts Out).
  • 7. O Observatório do Sol Ausente (The Observatory of the Absent Sun).
  • 8. Parque da Brasa (Ember Park).

The Three Flames

  • Ember: collect 80% of the embers scattered through the level.
  • Crate: break every crate in the level.
  • Survivor: finish the level with at most 3 deaths.
  • Scoreboard titles: Untouched, Clever, Stubborn and Cilada Regular.

Art direction

Each level has its own palette and scenery: an island of green and red trees, a sandstone canyon, a lighthouse under an aurora, a dark swamp, a platform among gears, a turquoise beach and an amusement park. Fagulha, an ember spirit in a black hood, is the common thread.
